Nick & Kylie
November 24th, 2018
For as long as I am alive and shooting weddings, I will never forget the process of shooting Nick & Kylie’s wedding. Kylie hired me over a year before her wedding, and because she was on the west coast, we didn’t get to meet, but had a phone chat. I then learned that her fiancé Nick had joined the military and because of basic training, they had to move their May wedding date a couple weeks later- to a date I was unavailable! They choose to stay with Bourbon & Brides and allow me to contract out a second shooter for their wedding.
Then, a couple months before their May wedding date, Kylie emailed me to let me know the military had moved dates on Nick again and they would once again have to move their wedding. Instead of moving the date, they decided to postpone it all together. I let Kylie know she could contact me as soon as they were ready to move forward with their wedding and I would make every accommodation I could to be there!
Finally, Kylie contacted me and let me know they had finally found a date that would work in November, on a date I was available! Once the wedding day arrived, me and Kylie kept joking about how we never thought this wedding would happen with them having to change the date. But I am so glad I was able to be there to photograph their wedding. Kylie is that rare special bride who can’t stop laughing and I had a lot of fun photographing the couple. And her ring bearer was her dog! Can you believe it! And he stayed for the reception!
