Jered and Brittany were introduced by mutual friends who thought they would be a cute couple. And the friends were right!
After dating for almost 3 years, Jered took Brittany for a dinner date at Tony’s, a popular steakhouse in Lexington. Brittany was convinced he would propose during dinner, but he didn’t. After eating, the couple went ice skating at Triangle Park, and Brittany thought he would propose on the ice rink. But he didn’t. So Brittany gave up hope for a proposal that night. But actually, after ice skating, Jered proposed right in front of the Christmas tree near the ice rink. Brittany was super excited and said yes immediately!
Jered and Brittany’s carefree brunch wedding was on a warm and sunny day in Lexington. The girls got ready in the couple’s home located in Lexington. Because they had a 11am Sunday ceremony, the girls started getting ready before 6am nd before the sun was even up. Brittany looked beautiful and happy in her slim fitting dress covered in intricate lace from Dillard’s. Her bouquet was made by Brittany, herself, using flowers purchased from Michael’s. Brittany’s daughter wore a pale pink dress with flowers in her hair and her bridesmaid’s wore mismatched dresses purchased from David’s Bridal. Jered and his groomsmen looked stylish in blue suits accented with light blue ties from Geno’s Formal Affair.
The first look was at the University of Kentucky Arboretum, and after seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day the couple couldn't stop laughing with each other. After their first look, they had their portraits, wedding parry shots and family portraits taken in the Arboretum before going to Copper Roux.
The ceremony was at Copper Roux in downtown Lexington. As Brittany was walking down the aisle, Jered tried not to cry but as his radiant bride got closer to him, he couldn’t hold back his tears. The couple had a short ceremony, with some cute and funny personal vows, and after being announced as husband and wife, walked with Brittany’s daughters back down the aisle.
Their reception followed inside the same space. The tables were decorated with blue linens and pink, gold and white accents, with champagne floral centerpieces and jam as wedding favors. They also had a beautiful cake made by the groom’s mother for their guests to enjoy after a brunch buffet meal provided by Bayou Bluegrass. They provided donuts for their guests from Doughdaddy’s Doughnuts in Versailles, Ky.
Jered and Brittany had a lovely first dance to “Amazed” by Lonestar and after Brittany had a special dance with her dad and stepdad..
The couple were able to enjoy their early afternoon reception with family and friends because of their DJ, provided by Complete Weddings + Events. Brittany and Jered ended the afternoon partying and dancing with their closest friends and daughter!
