Aaron & Brooke
June 29th, 2019
Although it was sticky hot outside, I had a lot of fun photographing Aaron & Brooke’s wedding in Lexington. From the moment the day started, Brooke was laughing, smiling and taking in every moment of her special day. There was no way I could not pick up on her great attitude, and enjoy myself even more.
The ceremony was officiated by Brooke’s uncle and was so excited to marry the couple, he actually forgot to pronounce them husband and wife and say the famous line, “Now you may kiss the bride.” The couple turned to their guests and started to walk down the aisle, before the officiant brought them back and gave them permission to kiss. That moment had everyone laughing!
The couple had scheduled three hours of dancing, and during Brooke’s timeline consultation I had warned her that was a little long. But she assured me she’d be on the dance floor the whole three hours, and she was right! Brooke and her friends really like to party and it was great evening where everyone was having fun!
Beautiful stationary sets the tone for the whole day…
…and Brooke’s dress looked elegant in the pretty morning light.
The Bride was all smiles and didn’t seem nervous at all as she got ready in the hotel.
Brooke’s flowers by Carol Lynn Events was breath-taking! The florist always does an amazing job with full, loose bouquets.
Aaron & Brooke were natural born models, and I loved photographing them in their hotel rooms and outside The Round Barn of Memories.
The wedding party were equally fun to spend time with. And how cool does everyone look?
Even before the funny moment with the officiant and the kiss, Brooke was laughing and giggling during the vow exchange.
The reception had beautiful details…
…and Aaron’s groom cake was amazing! I loved the sunset colors and silhouettes.
There wasn’t a moment when Brooke wasn’t enjoying herself on the dance floor. Her laugh is contagious and she was even cracking up during her bouquet toss.
The couple ended the night with a quiet moment at sunset outside the venue. Brooke had showed me a photo similar to this and asked to replicate it, and was super excited when I showed her this shot on the back of my camera.
Congrats, Aaron & Brooke! Can’t wait to share the rest of the photos with you!
