Scott and Lauren met me at the Bridal Bliss Evening Classic held at the wedding venue Limestone Hall in Lexington. After the event, Lauren reached out to me and we met for coffee to talk about their wedding. The couple have such an interesting story! Lauren and her twin sister are a bluegrass duo, The Price Sisters and Scott is a mandolin player. Lauren had met Scott at a Bluegrass festival they were both performs in and now Scott plays mandolin for The Price Sisters.
Scott and Lauren’s elegant and classic wedding was on a warm September day at Marriott Griffin Gate in Lexington, Kentucky. Lauren looked sleek in her long fitted lace wedding dress that she found at Sorelle Bridal in Pennsylvania. Her sister was her bridesmaid and wore a beautiful pale pink lace dress that was vintage. Their bouquets were filled with greenery and pale flowers with maroon accents from Carol Lynn's Originals. Scott and his brother looked classic in their black suits accented with classic black bowties.
The couple had a first look upstairs in a beautiful room at Griffin Gate’s mansion, followed by portraits together inside the mansion and around the golf course on the property. Lauren also had her favorite childhood toy with her for some portraits, as well as be the “ring bearer” walking down the aisle. The couple were then married outside on the lawn in front of the mansion with an amazing clear blue sky as their beautiful backdrop. Dinner followed inside the mansion and dancing on the patio. The dinner tables were decorated with white linens, deep red accents and simple arrangements for that classic look. They had an tasty wedding cake with a vintage cake topper for their guests to enjoy after dinner.
The couple had a really fun reception, with a bluegrass band and a square dancer caller for the guests to enjoy. Scott and Lauren’s first dance was to Lucky Man by David Francey and they danced and celebrated with family and friends all evening. The couple ended the night with a sparkler exit in front of the mansion to send them off.
