Lexington Engagement Photos: Dee & Will
Dee was at the University of Kentucky recruiting for the school's choir program during a summer advising conference when an incoming freshman stopped by his table. Dee was intrigued with this cute boy who was interested in music like himself. He added the freshman, named Will, on Facebook and struck up a long distance friendship.
Dee and Will only talked casually through the summer and had all but forgotten each other by the time fall came around and Will made his way on to campus. It wasn't until Dee saw Will singing at an a cappella singing competition and Will sang Dee's favorite song, that Dee was encouraged to ask Will out on a date.
Will proposed on the couple's three year wedding anniversary. After dinner they drove around and Dee could tell something was off and was suspicious. It wasn't until Will stopped at the spot of their first date and got down on one knee, that Dee realized what was happening.
For the couple's engagement photos, we took a walk downtown to celebrate the couple's love story around the art of Lexington.
The couple started their session standing in front of the historic Kentucky Theater, where Will whispered secrets into Dee's ear.
Our next stop was at the amazing mural of Louis Armstrong, which was perfect for an photo shoot celebrating love.
The next stop while walking around downtown Lexington was Gratz Park, which I had used in an engagement session just weeks before. It has beautiful statues around the area, and is a great quick location to get some grass and trees smack in the middle of Lexington.
The couple sat on a bench and spend a quiet moment together.
It was a little rainy so the couple had umbrellas to cuddle under.
But the rainy weather didn't stop the couple from playing in the fall leaves.
And enjoyed a passionate kiss at the Gratz Park inn gate.
The couple then walked to the church they sing choir at and is the same church they will be exchanging their vows in 2017.
Sitting on the steps, it was easy for Will to make Dee smile. Congrats Dee and Will! I can't wait to see you two hitched in 2017.
