Kentucky Wedding Photographer: Zane & Geneé Styled Shoot
Sweet romance was mixed with southern charm in this traditional wedding look. For this styled shoot, we wanted to mix a romance elegance with southern charm with the traditional feel of a sophisticated church wedding. The beautiful scenery of Walnut Hill Church built in the 1800’s, nestled among the hills of a horse farm, provided the perfect location for a sophisticated Kentucky wedding.
We’ve got this beautiful venue – so now what? This is where the wonderful vendors that were involved really started to create that sweet and romantic look we were going for.
Blooms N Blossoms helped make this look even more romantic by providing the bouquet, boutonniere and centerpiece . Our color inspiration was that of mauves, lavender, and dusty pink. For the arrangements, Blooms N Blossoms used peonies, lisianthus, bunny tail grass, roses, stock, sweet peas, larkspur, Queen Anne's lace, and various types of eucalyptus and ruscus.
The cake! Oh, the cake! Elizabeth Lowry Cakes created a sweet, elegant, wedding cake that was both traditional and romantic. She did such an amazing job making an understated and sophisticated cake.
A styled shoot is never complete without the bride and groom. This real-life couple is getting married soon, so they loved the idea of getting all dolled up and having a day all about them.
We wanted to find a wedding dress that paid homage to the dresses a southern belle would wear to a debutante ball. Our bride wore a traditional ball gown style wedding dress with a jacket to match, which was provided by the bridal boutique Wedding Wonderland. Of course we had to make sure our groom looked just as dapper, so we dressed him in a sleek and sophisticated navy Cooper & Nelson suit (provided by Paragon Stores).
The day was a complete success and everything came together to celebrate the real love of this sweet couple.
