Gratz Park Engagement Photos: Ian & Chelsea
Ian and Chelsea had been texting a little bit, trying to get to know each other before their blind date that had been set up by mutual friends. But there wasn't an instant connection with these two!
Based on her texts, Ian thought Chelsea was like "a Kardashian," or his way of describing a thoughtless vapor of a woman. Ian was not looking forward to the blind date, and even had a backup plan to bail early in case it was a total disaster.
But luckily, Chelsea was the complete opposite of how she had seemed in their brief text conversation. Ian was impressed by her intelligence and instantly attracted to her.
As for Chelsea, she was really impressed with Ian's good looks!
For their first date, they walked around Triangle Park in downtown Lexington, where Ian kissed Chelsea under the Kentucky Moon.
Ian and Chelsea wanted to have their Kentucky engagement photo session in Downtown Lexington at Gratz Park and Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate.
Chelsea was being super cute during their engagement session, giggling every time Ian kissed her.
Her laugh was infectious and showed off how beautiful and happy she is!
Chelsea told me that Ian does this sweet thing where he will kiss her hand for no reason. I witnessed it myself several times during their engagement photo shoot.
The couple walked down the sidewalk in front of the beautiful historic homes that surround Gratz Park.
And stopped to kiss leaning against one of the notable brightly colored houses on the side street. I was most impressed by Chelsea's amazing shoe choice!
Ian has an easy confidence that shows why Chelsea is so attracted to him! They are a lovely couple together!
Chelsea and Ian walked over to Transylvania University where the campus had displayed their annual jack-o-lantern carving contest.
The couple then traveled over to Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate for some casual engagement photos.
We even made it in time to stroll through the garden on the property, which usually closes earlier in the day.
The leaves were still beautiful and we used the opportunity to show off the beautiful engagement ring.
While walking around, Ian told me about how him and Chelsea had been out to Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate recently looking for ghosts as part of a paranormal group. I was so intrigued! I have the coolest couples!
Thanks, Ian and Chelsea for letting me document your love story! I can't wait to photograph this loving and gorgeous couple in Louisville this September!
